Cane Golf Ball
On display in: Golf: 1920-1945

This cane golf ball was made by a Prisoner of War in Edinburgh during World War II. Archive accounts also describe golf being played by Allied prisoners held in camps in Europe and the Far East using homemade clubs and balls. It is a poignant example of ingenuity under the most adverse circumstances and illustrates how the game of golf can connect to world events.
